Keep in mind that each ranking source uses different criteria to rank colleges. I typically tell my students to look at the rankings "with a grain of salt". Use the rankings as a starting point. Dig deeper. Look at the programs offered at the schools, look at the faculty, look at the opportunities you will be given as a student in your desired field of study. Don't make such an important decision based on an arbitrary number. Use this number as a starting point to begin your own research.
