Some high schoolers are sure of their career choice of medicine. For many, they begin to fill their resume when they are freshmen with activities like summer programs, internships, and volunteering, and shadowing doctors.


Summer research programs are an excellent way for students to stand out from their peers and catch the eye of the admission officers. With nearly all applicants applying with high grades, test scores, and AP classes, a hands-on learning experience at a research camp is one way to help your application rise above the others.

A program during the summer shows to universities that you are willing to put in the hard work and can bring a unique skill-set to the university.
